| Matching Cases Two-Stroke Style
Page 1 |
 |
I think that you need to understand
how the 2 stroke motor works and
then why you should have your cases
matched. "I do not suggest that you
attempt this with out supervision,
at leas not your first time. Best
thing to do is find an old blown up
motor at a salvage yard for a few
bucks and practice grinding on
that." |
|
Pro Circuit Charges $299.00 To
split the cases and another
$99.00 to match the cases. I
have seen several motors after
Pro Circuit has worked on them
and you don't really get much
for your money. They do a good
job at what they do for the
Consumer but they sure could do
a lot more. They save most of
the good stuff for the race
teams. However I can not Dog Pro
Circuit as I am a huge fan of
the Company and all that they do
for the Sport. After all
ProCircuit seems to have always
had more top notch racers than
any single company out there,
and for one good reason. THEY
KNOW WHAT THEY ARE
DOING................... |

| You can
spend over $1,000.00 just on these
modifications and still need to buy
a new pipe and V-force 3 reed valve
and Piston, rings, gaskets and more
and in the blink of an eye you have
almost 1500.00 in a motor you are
going to have to rebuild in a couple
races anyway. You can do all this
work for much less if you do it your
self.
I have taken a few pictures
of my new motor as I was matching
the cases and Polishing the Exhaust
port. I will Post more in-depth
assembly in the future but for now I
will show you what matching the
cases really is.
Below is a working Model of a 2
stroke motor. I have had this
diagram for a long time and do not
remember where I got it but it
illustrates perfectly how a 2 stroke
motor works. |
